I have a 96 f150. The rear tank was leaking so I decided i would take it out. Now that its out. How can I stop the fuel from coming out of the rear tank return line. My selector is set to the front tank but it still was comming out. Any suggestions would be helpful cuz its gonna be a few days before the new tank gets in. I should of planned this out better but didnt think this would happen.

Thanks

Don't put a bolt in the fitting - you'll ruin it. Your best move is to park the truck until the replacement tank is installed. Next best is to put the original tank back. Next would be to buy some aftermarket (NAPA) fittings to plug the lines. The last thing I'd suggest is putting the original FDM (pump) in a bag (to keep it clean) and reconnect it to the fuel lines to plug them.

Click my black Bronco below & look in the EFI Fuel Pump album. :deal
Steve,

I always forget how different my '78 is from the newer models. I assumed he had the same rubber hose I do. Nice call!
