see pics
This is an aftermarket repair patch panel and requires welding. 10 high.br Must be sectioned to work on the Bronco.

It does not wrap around all the way to line up with edge between 1/4 and TG. I had to add to it.
I called JBG and they said that is the way they are, so I had to cut and "paste" a new edge in."

The bad:

"ive bought both rear quarters from bronco graveyard. got them in and there is no way im cutting off my rear quarter to put on this junk. it is 22 gauge paper thin ****. " by wobbly-pop

thank you for the reply unfortunately i can't open the pics for some reason? here is what i am up against. i am capable of doing the sheet metal work however trying to keep the work to a minimum. will the lower patch panels cover the rust on my rear quarter? also what about tail light housing -i think you can only get the tail light housing with the full quarter panel right?

i know they make the wheel opening patch panels as well. i'd rather get the parts i need and not have to replace the whole panel. or is it easier to replace the whole thing?

I know a lot of parts from Dennis Carpenter are made on ford tooling. That or tabco are where i would start.

Pics above dont work for me either.

got it!
not sure why they don't make them full width... in my case id have to add quite a bit of material. i think i am better off replacing the whole panel as my DS rear 1/4 is rotted right through the tail light housing , lower rear corner and wheel arc

So far, neither Tabco or Dennis Carpernter show 78/79 bronco rear 1/4's that I could find on their sites.
Going to call both and see.

so i was wondering if i could use the 73-79 ford f series rear quarters as shown to repair the cancer on my 79 rear quarters. i have a farm near by that has several of these f series trucks that are in pretty bad shape. the owner said i can come chop off the pieces that i need.

jeffs bronco grave yard told me that the f series rear quarters are slightly taller? i have to graft in a tail light housing as mine are rotted half way up. id rather find some local metal here at the bone yards/farms that order the Thin repro stuff

I don't recall having any issue with the thickness of the wheel arch panel. I cut it right along
the lower racetrack molding, so I didn't have to do "too" great a job welding it in. I did get
some warping on panel above it, so stitch weld it sparingly, and let it cool between weld sets.

Also, don't force patch panel to meet 1/4, which is the other reason I think I have some warping on
1/4, right above the weld points. I never cared, always assumed I could someday get quality 1/4's, but that
may not be the case I guess.

Some random pics of work I did back in 2010
