Hey, i have a tailgate power window problem. The window wont go up or down. I get 12 volts at BOTH the red and yellow wires to the motor when i push the switch up AND down, i know thats not right, Thanks for any help.

You'll get 12V across those wires when you hit the switch; it just changes polarity depending on if you're trying to make it go up/down. Where are you measuring? At the wiring where it goes into the tailgate or right at the motor? There's a switch inside the tailgate on the drivers side that will prevent you from operating the window if the gate is open, but it can go bad or become misaligned and cause this problem. I bypassed mine when it gave me trouble.

i used a jumper on that switch so i could check it with the tailgate down, so i dont think thats the problem. I was measuring right at the motor.
