My wife is the only owner of a 1996 Ford Bronco w/5.8L. I have had to close the tailgate twice for the window to go up for a while. Now the rear window will not go up at all. Any suggestions?

Problems with the tailgate window are VERY common (there are a bazillion threads on that very subject here, so search is your friend).

Based on what you describe, it sounds like you may need to check the bushings on the latch strikers:

If the bushings are worn or missing, they might prevent the interlock safety switch from activating, preventing the window from being rolled up (the tailgate still thinks it's "open" and disconnects the window motor).

In any case, familiarize yourself with Steve83's tailgate bible:

It is the definitive resource for tailgate problems. :thumbup
