When I bought my 1990 FSB I noticed that there was some JB Weld on the lower Dipstick tube and it was slightly leaking that eventually got worse. It eventually broke completely off. I found some tubes online but they have larger diameter tubes then the opening in the transmission. I dropped the pan and was able to get the broken piece to drive out the top. I was able to make one out of copper tubing and fittings that was slightly smaller than the opening and a rubber baffle bushing that seems to seal the top and sides. I then filled the gap between the sides and the tube from underneath with ultra black RTV (throughly cleaned prior to, and it has curbed for 4 days). I believe that it should be fine, but I have not filled the transmission back up as I am awaiting some new cooler lines. Does anyone see a problem with this fix that I might not have thought of?

Yo arcurio1,
All I can offer is that a relative used copper on a C6 cooler line with no issues for six years.
I believe NiCopp may be better.
