I want to get a different steering wheel for my truck and saw a plain chrome.. hard rubber wheel at advance auto parts.. a GT for around 39.99 that looked nice & simple.. Where do I get a installation kit for an aftermarket wheel for an 84'

I read the box and it said instalation kit required?...... do they ussually come with a universal mounting kit?

They usually don't come with the wheel, but the maker usually offers a kit. If the manufacturer of the wheel you're looking at doesn't offer an install kit, or it is not a Grant wheel check into their install kit to see if it will work with that wheel.

They generaly have the kits too...ask, if not you can get 'em on line!:thumbup

I put a Grant wheel in my '84 and they had the installation kit at the auto parts store where I bought the wheel.

Well I didnt ask the guy behind counter just because their were a billion people in line and I wasnt ready to buy the wheel and didnt want to waste the guys time ........ just trying to see what all I will need to do the job

You "should" be able to buy the wheel and a kit and go with it!:thumbup

they usaully range from around 15.999-19.99 in price and kragen ,auto zone have grants and carryu a vareity of adapters in stock they had the adapter for my 74 bronco
