I read in the lift thread about how rough country, superlift and some other companys make bolt on extensions to the axle pivot brackets. My question is, does this make it easier to install?? Do you have to remove the factory brackets?

I have a 2 1/2" RC lift, it has extensions for the radius arm brackets, the original pivot arm brackets have to be removed and replaced with longer pivot arm brackets. The 4"and 6" RC lifts do not use the factory radius arm brackets. The picture is a link to other lift pictures during installation. Hope this helps, and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Just as a caution, if you move the radius arm away from the frame it will cause more torque on the frame... Just like trying to break a bolt free with a smaller ratchet, then using a johnson... length equals torque...
