However, hospital spokeswoman Leslie Taylor said Scheider had been treated for multiple myeloma at the hospital's Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy for the past two years.

I'd rather get eaten by the shark.
Mayeloma is vicious, attacks wherever it feels like in the body and they have yet to keep it in remission in anyone for more than 10 years. There not good years either, medication is almost worse than the cure.
My dad has it, in year 5 and thay just had to swap meds due to his blood count rising.
Sorry, that one hits close.

I think Sea Quest was a newer generation of "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" TV series staring Richard Bashart from a movie, same name staring Walter Pigeon.
