Hey, kids. Just joined recently, but haven't had the chance to say hi. My brother-in-law inherited an 86 Eddie Bauer and was gonna take it to the scrap yard. I'm a ford guy, so I couldn't let it go. Unfortunately, it's still at his house and I need to go pick it up about an hour away. It's been sitting for a few months, but he drove it around a little and said it did fine. May go get it this weekend. Anyone here from Charleston, WV???

Sweet. That year and trim package is actually my favorite.

The eddie bauer 85-86s look the best out of all the 80-86s. Plus in late 85 that 302 got efi and a overdrive transmission. Which would mean that 86 also has it.

Thanks everyone. Yes, it does have the efi. Not really sure about the o/d tranny. I'm guessing it does have it. That would be friggin' perfect. My wife is gonna be pist, though. She doesn't know it yet, but she lost her spot in the driveway for a few weeks while I do the body work. "

I really like the square front clip style on the 86 BKO, your tranny should be an AOD = Automatic Over Drive with a 14 bolt pattern on the pan.

It's not a "C" series tranny and the E4OD tranny came in 1987 IIRC.
