OK let's say you have a truck already set up for MAF...

But you need a new engine. Your buddy has a 5.0 SD motor you can have fro free, what needs to be swapped on to the SD motor to make it work with the MAF setup?

What about the distributor since the donor motor was not sequential??

the distributor for sd is the same as MAF. the firing order may be different so you just re wire the plugs.

I believe that is only a roller v. non-roller cam issue.

347 stroker out of a Cobra with intakes, malory, currently running MAF, c-4, stock t-case...in a ranger

The problem is I have swapped, MAF engines into trucks, and I have swapped SD into trucks, but I have alwasys just gotten all the fixens from the donor so I never even really had to think about the what the actual engine differences are.

What makes it worse is this is a vehicle I bought built and running with all custom wiring from headlights to tailights
