Nobody has helped me. Do I need to change the oil if I am seafoaming only the top end? (dumping down the carb). Do I attempt to sieze the motor (pour in slowly for half the can then dump the rest in?)? What risks am I taking? Yes I have read but I want to make sure.

Just follow the procedures in one of the seafoam threads.
You'll get a more controlled feed by useing the vac. line off your booster instead of dumping down the carb.

no on oil change. i did it to my 78, down the vacuum line, trickle in slowly, keep the motor running, then shut it off before its all pulled in, let it sit, start up and smoke show

so shut it off before the can is empty, while you are still pouring it in?

Vacuum line is best and most thorough.

I've used it for years on everything I've owned that burns fuel. It's great for small engines. If you're dumping down the carb just wait till the can is nearly empty then dump it all in at once. That will stall the engine and flood the carb.

yea, it helps to have some one help you, but you want there to be some unburned seafoam to sit in the top end for a while
