If your truck is a '94 with original shocks, then yes, it's prob. past time to replace them. However, keep in mind that Broncos have a pretty rough ride to begin with. I don't know what your definition of rough is, but like I said, if your shocks have never been replaced then I would recomend you do so. Btw, I think you can get away with using only one shock up front (the rear one I think) and make the ride even softer. I'm sure some of the other guys in here know more than I do about that, as well as what shocks are best.

heres my advice: broncos are stiff to begin with, pro comps and RS 5000s are really stiff on top of that. you would be better off using a gas shock like an RSX or an RS 9000. you don't need dual shocks up front, but they do help the ride IMO. lots of guys hate the stiff ride, but i was happy with dual RS5000s up front. yes it was very stiff.

procomps are not stiff andy, at least the 3000's i had and the 9000 hat bill has now. Rancho 5000's are very stiff, however, and i would not run duals in the front personlly, but i like my kidneys.
I have the 9000's and like them, but think it isnt worth the adjustability. I like the dual PC 3000 in the front when i had it, but it could have been a little stiffer.

hoestly, if I was stock height i would do either dual PC 3000 or 9000, as they ar cheap, or just get some good gabriels

my bad. my dad had pro comps on his truck a long time ago (maybe they were the 1000s?, but i thought they were 3000) and they were stiff as hell. and every person i've ever talked to says that the 9000s are even stiffer. but comig from you, i trust that i was wrong.

and yes 5000s are stiff :toothless

well, hold on a minute. i thought procomp only made the 3000 and 9000. Let me go check and see what mine were, i think I still have some. Maybe mine were the 1000's or there have been changes n the shock series. I had mine about 5 years ago

KYB GAS-a-Justs work well on our 96; reduced the rollerocaster effect on undulating surfaces incl the beach and some lousy new jersey so called highways. They have lifetime warranty and were $33.00 each @ local tire shop, incl. tax..some on-line shops charge more plus s&h.
BTW, they are NOT adjustable, despite their Brand name...
