If you're gonna kill him, do it before you turn 18.

Don't ask me how I know this.............

(But regardless pal, that sucks big time. I'd take a very deep breath right now before you do anything......................awkward. Good luck)

I'm sorry to hear that. Did you install the heads or did the builder? From the looks of your post, I'm ASSuming you installed the heads. If that is the case, it was most likely your fault, due to either a dirty mating surface or improper torque settings. It's very unlikely that a freshly machined block would have these issues. What brand gasket did you use?

Either way, keep wrenchin, it always puts me in a better mood.

Call him up ASAP and tell him your situation. If he is a reputable builder he will fix the engine for you, if not... Maybe he'll have to hire someone to fix the windows in his shop? Haha, I don't know what to say, but I've torn apart a lawn or two in my day.

Quit whining. If it's leaking from the lower head bolt area, pull them out one at a time and see whether he remembered to put sealant on the threads. If he did, great; give him a call tomorrow. If not, get some #2 Form-A-Gasket, coat the threads, and re-install & re-torque. THEN go say WTF to him tomorrow. Could be worth the hassle and 30 minutes instead of losing your head.

Also, sorry to hear about your grandmother passing.

:stupid Don't lose your head just yet. Do as sig says and it might be the easy way out. The guy that built my motor is family and guess what, he put the wrong bolt in my rocker arms. 300 miles later, SNAP! Needless to say it was an easy fix and I let it go as a slight mistake. Sorry to hear about your grandma too. I know that doesn't make things any better. Just don't go off the deep end just yet.

im a tech, so i work on cars all day, shit happens, dont matter how good you are, shops get busy and things get mistaken, or the guy could of taken all precautions, he is only human, now if he is good, he will tow it in to his shop or house and fix it, if not, and he owns a shop, call the BAR on his ass, they will rip him a new one, and if that doesnt work, well your ****ed. you fix it, youll learn somthing from sure doing the heads, and you cant put a price on education right?? thats some optimism there, i would probably want to kill him as well, but you cant do that... believe me he wont feel great about all this either.. i been in that situation, it sucks, all you can do is try not to do it next time, and do your best to make it up this time. right...
