I am thinking of making a skid plate that bolts to the bottom bumper bolt than runs do the frame back to the engine crossmember or so...I would like to make it out og rubber but i think that might get pushed into the fan so 1/4" or 3/8" steel will be used, one big flat stock piece. Will there be any cooling issues or run hotter is what i am trying to say??? it is mainly to keep sticks out since i now have a custom fan after a week or two ago from playing and also to keep the mud out of the engine compartment....it sucks to work in 3" of mud under the hood...

I made my front skid from 1/4 " plate. It gos from the front of my winch bumper back to the cross member.
It works great and I don't have any cooling issues.
Sorry I don't have any pics.
