Well, it's only taken about 3 weeks, but they're finally on. I would first like to thank Alan (Gearhead) for taking time out of his Sunday to help me do this. Drilling 16 holes through a frame was no easy task. Any way, the pic says it all. Dave did a great job with these slider, the full weight of the Bronco is resting on it in this pic and the back was just about to pick up. A word of advice to those about to undertake installing these. Rest up the day before, you'll need it. More pics on my SuperFord site.

Yea! I was wondering when those would get put on. The poser test shot is great, but I want to see some real world bashing on those things!

More advice - I don't know how Jeremy drilled the holes, but I fully recommend starting not only with a 1/8" pilot hole, but use a 3/16" drill bit before you use the 1/2" bit

Now, about that real world bashing... when?

What if I have a 7amp 3/4" drill w/ titianum dual head bits :thumbup
Then use that, but for the rest of us, we have to pilot up. For mine on some of the holes I got lazy and let the 1/2 in do it all, but then again I did break 5 1/2 inch bits and ruined a bunch of smaller ones.

Raw power is nice isn't it? :thumbup I've got a sweet 9 amp drill...it has thrown my 280lb butt off a ladder many times. From now on, i'll compare all my drills to this one..:beer

BTW-- NICE sliders Jeremy :shocked

those sliders are sweet. i was really impressed. the drill wasnt the problem, it about broke jer and my wrists a couple of times. i think the problem was cheap bits that dull fast. and we did make pilot holes first. if your thinking about getting these things, and cant, wont, make them yourself, get them from dave, you wont be dissapointed.
