Huh? It bolts to the bottom of the alt bracket and to the water pump.

i don't know much about engines so i hafd my mechanic check it out. it looked like a simple swap to me. i guess teh old one was frozen, the belt did not even use it, and it was connected. so i ordered a nwe one and he says it needs a bracket to connect it again!!! i do have a gt40 crate engine installed so maybe that changes things?

As long as you used the alternator bracket from the bronco, it won't matter that it's a new engine. I swapped a 351 into mine where I used to have a 302 and it's the same brackets even.
