well in the next few months ill be free and clear from any future emissions testing on my vehicle :rockon and I thought i would get started on some diagrams for how I was thinking of doing the exhaust.

Everything will be welded and custom bent at a friends shop for wicked cheap :thumbup

currently I have a single exhaust with a flowmaster 40 from the cat to tailpipe with 3" pipe. I was thinking of keeping that and trying this..

Any and all criticism and remarks would be welcome

I was thinking No cats, 3" pipe from the Headman headers back to the flowmasters than again 3" pipe to an outlet behind the tires

or

Catco Highflows to keep the noise down somewhat and the rest is the same above just adding the cats.

But my question is, should I use a X or H pipe? And remember this is just a cheap quick diagram of what I was thinking..

Well with short headers its possible but long tube it might not be possible? can anyone confirm this?

Sounds strange Spiked

but I recommend you get a 12" piece of 3" pipe (even plastic ABS plumbing pipe if you have to) and lay under your driver's side and hold it up and envision the routing.

There "may" be a way to get it down the driver's side efficiently and with decent flow and few kinks and turns, but I've yet to see it.

Getting an X or H connection in, without serious ground clearance losses will be the real trick IMO

well i plan to have my 2.5"/4" lift in before that, so It shouldnt be a problem for ground clearance. I wanted pipes straight back on each side without resistance, but ill get under and see if its even possible.

but would you recommend an X or H pipe connection if theres no feasible way to get it down the drivers side? how would the layout look for dual exhaust
