I once took my truck in for some sort of work or another, (my mechanic is a Bronco enthusiast too) and when I went to pick it up, they were all kinds of evasive about when it would be ready, etc., and told me the mechanic was at lunch. (I should have noticed that his bronco was still sitting in the lot)
The day went on, I showed up again, asking questions, and I got were a lot of evasive answers. Then I notice that MY TRUCK ISN'T EVEN THERE!
I then start asking where the heck the truck is, an I'm told that he's test driving it. I started to get annoyed, (and probably a little rude) because I wanted to get my truck back that day. I later called up there and I was told that it wasn't ready yet. I was pissed.
The next morning, I went up there, and it was sitting out in front. I talked to my friend, and he said, "Check this out." He walked over to the truck, fired it up, and Holy exhaust, Batman!
It then hit me that my birthday was only a few days away. My sweet wife had called up to the shop and told them to hook me up with some flowmasters while they were at it. That was my birthday present.
BroncoIIIwife, let me tell you, I'll never forget that. I love that woman!
