Did a search, but I could use some more help: 95 FSB 5.8, 135K. Really have only had plugs changed. Experiencing some missing under load. Not too serious, but I can feel it---kinda like running over a washboard road. What things should I do to tune this puppy up. In the old days, used to do plugs, caps, rotors, etc. Don't know where to start on this EFI engine.

Start with what you know and see what happens. No sense digging any deeper until the basics are good. Fuel injection is just another method of fuel delivery, none of the other requirements, like a good ignition and clean filters, have changed.

Thanks: perhaps I should check on my K & N filter to see if it needs cleaning.

I wouldn't think that it is a valve problem. I also always use Plus gas, so unless it is a FP problem, I should be ok there. Don't know if wires should be changed or not, and I doubt that any EGR or filters have been changed since new. I wonder if I should have it diagnosed. I'm not showing any check engine lights or codes.

This all depends on how long it's been since a GOOD tuneup has been done with quality parts. I'd start there and see what happens.
