Replaced the valve cover gaskets, dizzy cap and rotor. Noticed my spout connector is MIA. Can I hard wire it until I can get to the dealership????

I searched, now I resurrect this thread. While doing the ignition upgrade and bump I found no spout connector also. I am correct in reading that all the SC does is make a connection and allow the computer to vary the timing? This means a length of wire and two male ends would suffice till I find a real one at a wrecking yard? Thanks. I bet my power and MPG is going to improve!
