does anybody know if your welding carbon to stainless do you use a low hydrogen rod like 7018 or a stainless rod?

u can use 60 rod 70 rod 308/309 i would use 308 or 309 it is a stainless rod and u will get more penetration with it or u can get inco rod whitch is inconol rod high nickel spendy but its tough stuff :rockon

I used 308-16 for a lot of disimilar welding stuff and it works great I was joining mostly Mananese to mild steel though. makes one tough ass weld not as tough as ****anese but still.

Use a stainless rod for best results, but in a pinch you could use 7018
