well after looking at a lot of photos I decided to basicly turn my '84 into real rig. most of the work is done, runs strong, so its time to move on to more things. I decided to basicly turn mine into a classic bronco... yes its kinda werid to go backwards, but i thought about it. to get a old bronco, I would pay so much to get it how it wanted.... and I wouldnt be a big bronco anymore. enough talking and now photos. (bare with me on the photochops, i was kinda rushing because i was too excited)

how its sits now.

Idea #1

Idea #2

Now the acutal cost wont be that bad sence I've been working with sheet metal, steel tubing, and welding for a few years now, so I can build most of it. I am going to have the roll cage built at a professional shop sence I dont know how to build a safe one.

Let me know what you guys think.

Now is best, 84's rule!
#3 is a little better, but I still like option #0.

Go with 3 if you want the open top deal, it's ultimatly up to you.
yea, I do plan on doing a full convertable, but since its a daily, I have to figure out how to make a leak proof top.
Are you planning to fab up that 60s-70s style grille yourself? Seems like a lot of work for little to no payoff. I think most people will agree that the early eighties Broncos have the meanest looking front end. Don't screw that up.
cant say till i get the dimentions, if worst I keep the same front but put in round headlights...I'm just not a fan at all of the square headlights.

I think that would look really weird.

But hey, do what you gotta do.
IMO-

leave the stock front end. don't cut the fenders like that, that's a ttb you got there. don't shave the front corner light. do get the front bumper and winch. leave the roof over the cab in tact, build a roll bar like you want, and build some half doors.

i wish my truck had that front end.
i might be then only one who thinks so but i kinda like the retro look. does not seem like that hard of a swap and adds some cool charateristics to his bronco. that front in with retro badging would be bad ass.
dude keep the front as is!!!
I have the same body style and LOOOVE the mean ass look the front has!!!
i'd go w/ option 3, but good luck making your top leak proof!
I've been trying to talk Andy into doing an EB grill on the front of his.
You will have to narrow the front to fit and EB grill.
I'd I also mount it right side up........ if it was me :D
Personally i like how the 80-86 Look. I think its a MEan lookin year. Hell i might get one after the 90 goes. So id keep it as it is.

see that how I am, I grew up being into hot rod and classics, so I just naturaly go for older look. Not to mention the front is now screwed up and I crack the grill pretty good... so why not do somthing a little diffrent instead of replacing it with an OEM? I do like hearing everyone opition, but keep in mind, if it doesnt work at planned i can easily put a stock front back on.

Oh my... Let me axe ya a kwestion... How often do you go airborne... or crawling? There is no need to chop up your perfectly pretty beast into a K-5 Blazer monstrocity. You see this 'STYLE' only came to be as K-5 Blazers rusted and rotted out so terribly above the wheels. If you want travel, you seem to have a nice lift already, do you really hit wells ?
Keep #0 no chop maybe rolls. How about T-tops from an old Mustang or something. Should be easy to cut them out. Prolly can fix the leaks easy enough too :-D
i actually try to get to the trails every weekend (gas depending), yea, it does steer towards the k-5, but im trying to aim for a EB look, but t-tops are a good idea, i want to do away with the top to just really open it up and opend my view (doors would be off to for trail riding), as far as hitting the wells... not sure, i cant tell if my tires hit or the core support hit somthing, but my whole front end has shifted about 2" to the right, and i have 38" going on soon.
OR! if you really want to mess with peoples heads and you are that good...
Try and early 70's f150 with a full camper!
Now, I would have to say, I have NEVER seen that! hahaahahah
