Question for ya...

When I go to my garage, the page is the full width of my browser window. But when I go to any members registry site (even mine) there is a 2 inch black strip of empty space on the right side of the window. Any way to correct that?

Thanks.

The site only goes the full width on pages that require and can take full advantage of it (like forums, viewing high-res images, and managing your vehicle entries). Otherwise, if it extends the full width of the browser, on computers with larger resolution monitors, the site looks extremely stretched and, well, bad.

We are still leaving the site design for users with 800x600 resolution monitors. There's still a very large percentage of people who visit SuperMotors that have this lower resolution.

You're seeing the black strip because you've have your monitor set at (I'm guessing) 1024x768 resolution. Larger monitors see an even bigger black space.

That help explain it?

Looks good & I was finally able to edit my optional bio. :thumbup But every time I go to https://www.supermotors.net/mygarage/settings.php , I get a warning that there are unsecure items & I have to click YES to show them each time. But they must be tiny border images, because I can't tell where they're appearing.

Also, the large thumbnail VBB code is still missing the image number from the url, right after "...media/".
[ url=http://www.supermotors.net/vehicles/registry/media/]

So the thumbnail shows, but the link is dead.

Unless I edit in the number "...media/282491_1" at the end of the url.
[ url=http://www.supermotors.net/vehicles/registry/media/282491_1]
Then it works right.

It's the secure server certificate, actually. We're purchasing a new one for supermotors.net (the supermotors.org certificate can't be used on supermotors.net).

Also, the large thumbnail VBB code is still missing the image number from the url, right after "...media/".
Fixed.

Eric
I just noticed something that COULD become a problem: I had a photo album that was numbered 35403. It was lost. I just re-created it & re-uploaded the pics, but the new album number is 34307. That means that your system is re-using numbers that were already issued, so there are old links floating around with those "used" numbers all over the net. When someone creates an album NOW that gets assigned a USED number, those old links MIGHT become active again & point to the TOTALLY wrong images/albums/registries. Wouldn't it be better to jump up to like 40000 for any new entries to prevent that?

Just a thought...
