Looking to buy a bronco with a rebuilt engine and some performance parts added to it. Also the emission system has been deleted. It runs exceptionally well with very low miles on the engine, but it surges for a couple minutes when it idles cold. Owner told me this is because ECU is getting tripped up. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

No codes?
Frequently a hunting idle is indicative of a vacuum leak. Does it have a MAF? Is it dirty? If that part of the air intake is dirty or Carboned up it can be slow to react and make the idle vary.
I am using old Tapatalk so can't see if you list the vehicle year, motor year, etc.
