Ok, so I have a 81, and the tailgate will not latch. I decide to take it apart, and I notice that the two rods that run from the handle to the latches itself are bent. This is the problem, correct? The only thing that threw me off was when I was going to place an order from LMC, the catalog said that the two rods were for 83 and up Broncos. Is this the right part? Should I just go ahead and order it and see if it fits?

Also, when I had got it, the rear windown motor was fried in it. I went ahead and replaced that. It works now, somewhat. It goes really slow, and also it wont roll all the way down. Is their anything that I need to grease up or something like that?

Hey man
Don't feel bad
They won't talk to me either

Coat all weatherstripping inside and out of rear window with thin coat of light oil such as wd.
Lubricate all moving parts of rear window.

Works for a while till you see if something is really broken
