Ok the bracket that holds the end of my torsion bar has broken. I want to remove the T-bar but i REALLY REALLY do not want to remove the tailgate. My window did not break or crack or anything so I just want to get that bar out, end of story.

Is there an easier way?

Could I just get in there with a cut-off wheel and cut off the bend so that it does not rest on the window? and then I pretty much have a torsion-less torsion bar?
