Help me if you can. I cannot get my temp. guage to work.

I have replaced the sending unit and the entire guage cluster and still no go.

Is there something that I may have missed?

Any other electrical gremlins? Is it just the temp guage? If you are sure the parts are good (even new ones can be bad sometimes) then it is down to the wiring. it sounds like either the guage is not getting power or the wire is not consistant to the temp sensor. Also, make sure there is goos contact at the sensor. I have been having intermittant issues with that connection on mine for years.

1).Pull off the single wire terminal that goes on the sending unit on your engine.

2). Get a piece of wire, maybe 6--10 inches long---stick one end into the terminal cap and place the other end on a stud bolt or some other source of 'ground'.

3). Have a friend turn the ignition key to 'Run' for one second....if the gauge is working, the dash temp gauge needle will swing all the way to the right---which means the gauge itself is good (though they all suck, in actuality). If the needle don't move, your gauge is toast.

4). And get a real water temp gauge---really..........
