Another one that I do In my shop is use scrap angle iron as chain hangers. A buddy of mine likes to put his in 5 gal buckets, I like mine in the air without possibility of sitting in water

How to test for a parasitic draw

I test by hooking the positive cable up, tie in a test light between the negative cable and the negative post. The light should be dim due to radio and clock memory. If it's bright, start pulling fuses until the light dims or goes out. Once the light goes dim when a specific fuse is pulled, that fuse that you pulled has a list of all items on that circuit. See what's on that circuit and start disconnecting those items until the bright light goes dim. This can be done with a meter as well, but you can see the light from the cab.

Hook your test light (or meter) up like so:
