recently i built a tmeyers rebuild a .40 over 400 and a friend of mine was helping me he suggested that a 3000 stall converter was the way to go well the motor is great very responsive,it sounds badass, but way to much stall now it has a hughes 3000 in it and it takes so stomping down to get it to go boy it goes though now i only have 3.08 gears im gonna upgrade to 3.89 or 4.10 s will this do it or am i gonna have to go down to 2200 stall also this will be my everyday driver but i only live 2 miles from work

i would go back with a stock-style converter with little to no stall.a big racing style stall converter generates lots of heat and slippage....not bad for a race car that sees WOT all the time, but pointless for a street driven 4x4.(unless you have a big narly cam, which is also pointless on a dd)
