The max I've towed with my Bronco is about 10,000 pounds or so. I would not recommend this unless you have a brake controller and the trailer has electric brakes. I would not tow more than 7,000 pounds without brake assistance since all years of the Broncos had inadequate at best brakes.
2 1/2 ton truck with mediocore brakes + 7,000+ pound load = accident waiting to happen.
