dude in a MB- ran into me....buried the hitch ball into that purty plastic coated foam bumper. got out and looked...no damage to me and he didn't seem to mind much...we parted ways. took a small chunk of plastic with me when I pulled away from the bumper.

Yup, same here. Someone rearended my bronco - right into the trailer hitch. We were not going too fast, he left paint on my hitch and put a good size dent in his licence plate.

Had another similiar one. Same A-hole backed into my bronco on the street. The hit-and-run driver left about a 4x1 inch piece of paint and most of a taillight, but only chipped the chrome on my front bumper. I was laughing at that - they did at least a grand in damage to their car and absolutely nothing to the bronco. Serves 'em right.

I leave my ball hitch on there for this exact reason. Apparently having a truck twice as tall as the Saturns that hit me isn't obvious enough or something. Whatever. I love how much damage these things cause to these idiots' plastic cars. :D Been hit in the damn drive-through at burger world and the other driver was mad at me! WTF?

I think I'm gonna see if I can make a giant-ass SPIKE to go in the receiver, like about 18-inches long maybe? With a slight upward curve or something, and serrations. :goodfinge

In my '89 S-10 Blazer.... It was a cheap Class-II hitch, but still kept my truck from getting bent up and messed his car up bad. It wrecked the hitch, but that was a small price to pay. :)

i had a jeep with two tow hooks mounted to the front bumper. Was at the mall when a woman backed into the jeep. That's when i learned that the tow hooks lined up perfect with the rear taillights on a malibu, the force from her hitting me sent the hooks through the lenses, and her car went up and onto the jeep bumper.

When she tried to pull away and blow me off about hitting the jeep, the trunk lid got ripped off her car, it had latched itself on to the tow hooks.

I have been rear ended in my bronco, and yes it does f*ck the hood up of the car that hit you.

I got hit in the Bronco by a brand new f150. The hitch ball went right through the bumper valance. It was the girl's dad's brand new truck. Still had paper plates, even. I laughed and drove off. It shined up the hitch a little.

Yeah I have had it happened to my ranger several years back. Some lil teeny bobber wasn't watching where she was going. She rear ended me at a stop light. It totaled her taurs she had to be going about 25-30 MPH never touched her brakes. It dragged my smittybuilt bumper down about 6 inches and scuffed the paint a bit. I ended up dragging her through the intersection off the road Asked if she was ok she said yes. So we exchanged our INS info. Then I had her set her E brake and I pulled out of her tarus. Ended up tearing her hole front bumper off, Left a hugh gaping hole in her radiator and engine block. Then the cops showed and made sure everything was taken care of. I went on about the days busness. Then when I got home I jacked it up by the bumper. Jumped in the back and jumped up and down a few times untell the bumper looked level and retightened the bolts and called it good.

Hell, if she was okay, I think I would've kept going without detaching. :thumbup
