Whats up all?? Got a question about some aftermarket tranny coolers and I was hoping that someone might have some previous experience with these....I'm currently looking at these two....B&M's Hi-Tek SuperCoolers with Fan http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=BMM%2D70297&FROM=MG
Or
A Perma-Cool Maxi-Cool Six Pass Fluid Cooler (also has a fan) http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=PRM%2D12318

The B&M has a thermosat with it, but the Perma-Cool says it will drop the temp up to 95 degrees but doesn't have a thermosat...but in the "suggested parts" page, they have some thermosat's listed but I don't know if A. they are for this type application, or B. what the correct temp's should be for it to come on and off... http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=PRM-12318&view=64&N=0

Anyone have any input or thought on any of this? Or perhaps know of better solutions??

I would suggest a search. There was a thread about this a few days ago.
ditto, It might have even had the same thread title. I didn't even open this till this AM since I thought it was the one from last week.

Hey Smileybry, how much depth was there between the cooler and the back of the grill? Any clue?
with my cooler on i still have like 3 inches.(i have the 1 1/2 inch thick cooler) without the cooler it was probably 5

i also have a/c. if you dont have the ac condensor you probably have 7 inches between the grill and the radiator
