ok did the search thing and squat.. ok here is the prob the 87 surges between first and second gear, under a heavy foot. new tps, new fuel regulator, and the other goodies,, no i have not pulled my codes yet so dont ask :goodfinge any ideas guys.. also have NOT been in any mud or water

Clarify surges a little,
is it a flare, like it is out of first, waits a second and then decides to hit second gear,or
Do the rpm's jump then come back down?

Hey Max, I only put what he told me to but yeah slipping like. It happens at the shift point of 1 and 2 that is the only spot.

Maybe the 1-2 band need's adjusting.

ok guys thanks i looked at the chart i hope it is a simple problem.. i just had the damn thing rebuilt not two years ago////////////

ok found the prob seems it was not tranny related after all.. from what i wastold by several locals was that kingman got a few loads of gas with water in them so i had to change the fuel filter and the 87 runs just fine :thumbup
