Some places will rebuild a c6 transmission for $400-600. You removal and bring in. Search for transmission rebuild on the local classifieds.
only used that will work is 302/300/351 1980-1989 4x4 c6. Which from 85-89 is mainly the 5.8, maybe the 300.
