So maybe I'm an idiot. Don't know yet jury is still out. Replaced the rear main on my 92. 5.0 with the E4OD. I replaced the the gasket on the transmission pan while I was at it. Refilled the transmission with fluid. The torque converter never really got drained. And what I found said 10 quarts for the tranny. 3 quarts for the TC. I put in about 9 quarts. Checked level and its like 3 inches past the max fill line. Rather confused at the moment.

Yo Tk,
This is by Ford, "Start engine. Move the transmission range selector lever through all gear ranges, checking for engagements.
Check and adjust the transmission fluid level in 0.24 liter (0.5-pint) increments to the proper level (cross-hatched area of the fluid level indicator (7A020) at normal operating temperatures)."
