does your dash lights and still work?lol..cause ford uses tha same fuse for Electronic shift in tha e40ds as they do for tha dash lights and tail lights and when it blows it shifts like hell..

absolutely nothing to do with the symptoms he's describing.

Search for "How to pull codes". The only ones you need a scanner for are the 96's, when OBDII started.

Basically, you ground a plug under the hood, and watch the CEL flash and write down the codes it gives you.

It might seem difficult, but don't let the timing confuse you... when it flashes out, it's really not too difficult to figure out.
