I just bought a 1990 with the 301 today. The guy I bought it from said the motor was rebuilt 45k miles ago and there's a new transmission with under 200 miles on it. He told me that the kick down cable needed to be adjusted a little bit but it should drive fine as it is.
Well I got it home and drove it till she got warm and then my tak started to jump once I got to about 35 mph. My speedometer and heat sensor aren't reading right so i don't know how hot it was when this was going on. I'm waiting for my other truck to get the clutch cylinder fixed and then I'll bring it to the shop and get a couple things it needs fixed done, but I'm not sure I can drive it like this. I'm not very mechanically inclined but with good instructions I could do a little bit of work.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks in advance
