Hey guys,
No offence, but y'all are my last resort. I can not find a stock replacement y-pipe w/cats for under a grand. I wanted a full bassani kit, however the shipping ends up being $300.00 to Alaska. My mechanic has had my bronco for 2 months now. We can't find a cost effective way to get old bessy up and running again. Can anybody help me? Any help will be SO appreciated...Thanks in advance!

Get a Flowmaster Exhaust Y

Here are all the Y's FlowMaster offers at Summit Racing:

FLO-Y214300A 2 1/4 in. inlets, 3 in. outlet, Y collector $37.95
FLO-Y250300A 2 1/2 in. inlets, 3 in. outlet, Y collector $37.95
FLO-Y250350 2 1/2 in. inlets, 3 1/2 in. outlet, Y collector $37.95
FLO-Y300350 3 in. inlets, 3 1/2 in. outlet, Y collector $43.39

Have an exhaust shop make you a cross over like mine, cost me $120. Pictures of mine here: http://www.superford.org/registry/vehicles/detail.php?id=1501&s=8841#content
I use the 2 1/4 - 3 model, but I'm working on the 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 version for a BIGER exhaust :D I don't have a Cat, but you can then get a universal Cat, cheap muffler. Then have that exact same exhaustshop bend you a tail pipe.
THAT should get you way handled WAY under $1000

I'm not quite sure what exactly you're looking for...You say you would like a full Bassani kit which easily exceeds $1K, because it's good stuff. Then what you describe is not the full kit, just the y-pipe and the two inline cats? Is that what you want? or do you want the cat back also hooked onto that. Now from my exhaust system woes earlier this year I know Walker, ( the non-performance O.E. Division of Tenneco Automotive [which owns Dynomax]) makes the factory y-pipe with the two inline cats already hooked up and all. This piece if I remember costs $400 some odd dollars, which doesn't include the cat-back muffler setup. And any decent self resepcting exhuast shop should have access to the vendor Walker Automotive.

I will have my mechanic look for the walker setup. I wanted the bassani kit, but when I found out shipping was so much I decided to downsize my plans. Right now I just want my Bronco to RUN. The factory y-pipe was $1,070.00 just for the y-pipe. That didn't include labor. However, I wouldn't have to pay shipping on that...I haven't even heard of Walker though, so THANK YOU!

We don't really have an exhaust shop here, but my mechanic is factory certified for all of the american auto makers. His pipe bender died and he didn't have a real reason to replace it, so he doesn't have one.

If cross posting really is offending anybody, just give me the word and I won't post anymore. I just thought some people might not look at both boards.

Merry Christmas! :santa

I just got a Gibson catback last year btw. So that isn't a real big priority. I was just going to get all the bassani stuff because it was already expencive.

Walker Exhaust

They have a technical assistance line that can be called and they also have an online dealer locator. They do have Alaska listed so I checked for the Petersburg location which is listed underneath your avatar and nothing came up for any dealers in your area unfortunately. Good luck with your exhaust.

AWESOME! That is exactly what I am looking for! I will go talk to my mechanic first thing in the morning and see if he can get one of those thrown on the barge. He might be able to get his distributor to go and pick one up in washington or something. I don't remember if the parts come from Seattle or Portland...I just rambled didn't I...THANKS
