Need some advice. I am having trouble starting my '89. Most mornings I can start up just fine. After work and the rest of the day, I have to start it at the solenoid switch with a screwdriver. My first thought was the solenoid, but I am still able to turn it over with the key in the morning. I have been told also it might be the ignition switch. Any advice?

Check ALL your battery connections. Make sure they are clean and tight. Check the cables at the starter and solenoid as well. If they look corroded/old I would bet that is your problem.
