Was wondering why the parts stores shows the wheel seal for the hub but there is a Rds or rolling diaphragm seal that goes on the spindle. Are these two used together? The rolling diaphragm seal has got a lip on it that fits over the spindle but the wheel seal that all the parts stores pull up look like a regular seal.
Last time I had my rotors of looks like only the Rds seal was used. Is this right?

Thanks Steve is the Outer rolling diaphragm seal all rubber? Or is rubber with a metal backing, all data says that to tap on the metal backing lightly with a hammer and the diaphragm seal installation tool. Also I've heard the inner rolling diaphragm seal that's all rubber goes behind the spindle. This has confused me before because all the part stores just pull up the seal for the rotor/hub

Thanks a lot looks like I need to get both rds seals as I am doing everything when I replace the ball joints, another question should I replace the axle/ spindle needle bearings too?
