I know badass did some, another guy did some and wrapped them in seat cover material (cool idea) and damager kinda made his own thing, but who else has them, and can you post some links please. I started working on mine and just want to see how people are finishing them.

I dont really like the traditional half door like most people have. They are nice, but if you are going to cut apart a door, go all the way. I wanted my door so that I can attach a soft door to if I wanted to. I also wanted to be able to getinto the truck without opening the door. So basically the door is just big enough to be legal and keep your crap inside the vehicle. I have my partially complete door pictureed here. I just have to weld the rest of the gaps and then paint. When I decide to get a soft door made, I will put some rivets around the door for it to attach to.

Steve, when you gotta go,you gotta go.Yes I put them in each door. That way I won't spill my beer :thumbup
:thumbup I keep mine in a Zip-loc, since I take my kids wheeling almost everytime, I travel with a camping potty.

I might have to buy some beer in the spring and have you down for 1/2 door building party.

I made some for a yoda, just standard, then added the marine gray carpet over them.

For a neater effect, I would buy some soft doors (EB, Jeep, FJ, what ever is cheaper) and cut your doors to fit the soft door. That way you have both a cleen looking half/ no door then can toss on a soft door for driving

mark, squatty, what I was thinking I would do for the soft door is ideally,
cut the door how I want it. Go to a boat shop and have them make a soft door that I could zip onto the hard door. It would mean there would be a small trim piece that is permanantyly mounted to the door, but I think I would be ok with that. the other option is just to snap on a plastic window, but I like the zipper idea better (more sealed???)
Using another half door is an interesting idea, but how do you think you could get say a flat jeep door into a somewhat curved bronco door, without it looking somewhat crooked.

What are you all finsihing the hwoles off with. i know some have used 2x4, 2x6 wood, etc. It looks like superjunk used wood and some light gauge angle iron? More pics of that kinda stuff please

if you cut that much out of the door, I think you would need to at least have a cross support bar put in to keep the door "square". maybe not, but i think so

rollcage will help with the integrity of the cab and eliminating alot of the distortion... I know it does tremendously with mine

Why would anybody chop up perfectly good doors?
Just make some out of steel tubing and sheet metal, or something.
