I recently swapped a dana 60 and 10.25 onto my 86 and now i want to install the master cylinder and brake booster from the same f-350 . The brake parts are 1990 and it has an integrated proportioning valve. The valve for the 86 is on the frame so I don't think bolting the 86 brake lines up to the 90 master cylinder is going to work. This would give me 2 proportioning valves in my system. Will an 86 F-350 master cylinder work with a 90 booster? Any one have another idea?

When I went from a 1984 booster(steel m/c) to a 1995 booster(aluminum m/c),I had to slightly elongate the mounting holes in the m/c(steel one).So if you don't mind elongating the mounting holes approx 1/8",then it will work.Note, this was done on an F250.

I have an 85 and left the frame one on. I used a 92 or whatever right around there that has the vavle that screws onto the back port on the MC. That back port is also a diff fitting if you try to run without it. I took the vavle all apart and removed everythign inside and put it back together. My brakes have been workin fine for about a year
