Doing a last second water belt change on my girlfriend's 01 Galant, and found out the second "timing" belt that drives on of the balance shafts was also broken.
To replace that belt, I need to remove the crankshaft sprocket that drives it.:banghead

Which way should I turn wrench B?

Wrench A is on the bolt.
Wrench B is a chain wrench wrapped around the sprocket.

Wrench A is stationary, wedged against the axle.

Wrench B will doing the turning.

The manual says to never turn the crankshaft counterclockwise, so I ASSUME the operation direction of the engine is clockwise. Not sure, this stuff is new to me.:whiteflag

With that in mind, which way should I turn Wrench B in order to remove the sprocket?

THANKS!

For future reference to noobs: a water pump replacement is not a twenty minute swap. :histerica:rofl::rofl::smilie_slap

I feel you there but if the crank rotation is in the same direction as in your pic then it should be clock wise
