[86 Bronco]

When When I put my Bronco in drive the engine revs about 200 rpm and it goes into drive about a second later,it doesn't do this while going into reverse...I can't find any obvious vacuum leaks. What's the deal? :rebelflag

Sounds like it's just the idle compensation from the engine computer. The idle up before it drops into gear helps prevent stalls and stumbles.

1st off, I beleive we are talkin about your '86...Please fill out your signature at the bottom for future references...

I believe it can be two things. 1 check your Transmission Modulator or the vacumn line going to it. 2nd use a propane bottle {Please dont light it} with the truck running and with the propane gas open pass it around the intake manifold, Brake booster, and all the connectors and hoses that you see...

If your engine revs up as you pass the propane gas. Thats it, you just found your leak...
