Anyways, was just wondering if ya'll could give me some ideas of things to do or see when in CT or hell whatever is in a few hours drive from there. all ideas welcome.

Much appreciated ahead of time. :thumbup

I agree. The Casino is pretty awesome. (Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods). If you are 21 that is.

Mystic Seaport is pretty cool too. Mystic Pizza is there, which was the main back drop for a Julia Roberts movie.

I am actually going to Tolland right now to do some fishing.

I'm not gonna lie, CT doesn't have much to do.

If you are free and wanna meet up PM me, I'm sure I can be some sort of tour guide. Grab some food at a good local place or something, talk broncos.

There's always Boston, Newport, RI or Providence, RI.

Cool thing about CT is it is about a 2 hour drive to Boston, NYC and even shorter to the shore. Hell, you can get down to the Jersey Shore in a few hours if you are so inclined...lol.

what's the mystic seaport? i'm always down to gamble. How long is it to everywhere? Can i really get across a couple state lines in a few hours out there? That's what my bro's ol lady is telling me... Here in texas i can drive for 12 hours... and still be in texas :haha So i am thinking i would like to squeeze as much into my trip up there as possible. anything in particular in LI or MAN to go see, or just go... lol

Yes sir, i am 27. And more than willing to do a lil gamblin'. ;) Thanks for the specific names on the casinos.. That's kinda what i'm looking for.. Specific ideas, since i know basically nothing about that area. AHHHHH, Mystic seaport explained... Now i now what ya'll talking about. again thanks for the specifics, i might have to take you up on the tour guide thing. :toothless

and really, not much at all to do... If you had to say one thing that was the highlight thing to do in CT... what would it be?

anything particular come to mind?

also, the wedding is in late october... so, what's the weather like that time of year?
New port is just a really neat place. It is right on the Ocean. Great resturantes.

It is where tons of rich people live/lived so there are Mansions all along a cliff walk above the ocean. Its real scenic and pretty.

Well here in New England the weather can be anything in October. The saying about NE is "If you don't like the weather.....wait 10 minutes"

It could be snowing in October (unlikely) It could be warm (possible) but chances are October will be very cold at night and cool to cold in the day. Maybe like 65s at best

Like 96GM said, Newport has a whole shore full of mansions and a trails right on the ocean that follows them.

In providence there's the Providence Place Mall which is pretty big, going to Faneuil Hall in Boston and walking around the city is fun. There's Six Flags in Springfield, MA. I wouldn't mind taking a day to do some traveling with you guys.

I was in CT for a wedding about 10 years ago. The highlight was the aquarium and maritime
museum in Norwalk and the train ride to NYC for the day.

I'm all about aquarium and marine life. When i'm not working on trucks, i'm working with turtles. Raising and rehabilitating them. I currently have a big softshell from the Guadalupe river here in TX that i'm hoping to get well enough for release next month.

Cool idea.

Take a ride to Cape Cod.October is cranberry harvest time in SE. Massachusetts, check our farms out.catch plymoth on your way back and see where our country began. Lot's of things to do in new england in late october. I am thinking if the Red Sox are playing it will be hard to get a ticket.

Man, what a tough crowd for fotm. Gettin' hated on for not having taken my truck out yet since the build. Ugh! Anyways, i would like to direct ya'lls attention to it if i could. Not asking for your vote, but if ya'll find my truck worthy enough of it. I would greatly appreciate it.

Look forward to coming to CT as i have not traveled any further north than OK. And as the trip comes closer i will post my tel # so if some of ya'll would still like to show me around that would be killer!
