Okay I have had overheating problems on my top hat hubs. AKA melting selector switch. So since then I have replaced the wheel bearings, brake calipers, brake hoses and brake pads.

I drove it to work today for the first time since doing the brake job. And when I got to work (40-45 miles) the hubs were warm to the touch but not so much that I couldn't touch them (like before the brake job). So I am wondering before I go and replace my damaged top hat with a replacement what is the normal temperature for these? I realize there will probably always be some heat build up. It's the nature of the design. But I want to be sure I am safe to install my replacement without worry of damaging them as well.

Any thoughts??
