I have a 1990 351w bronco with the long intake air tubes going to the air filter box and I want to do some kind of heat barrier wrap to keep the intake air a little cooler, what do you recommend ? should I combine the wrap with a heat reflective spray like Thermotec sells ? I do not wanna use a hardware store wrap like fer waterheaters-

foil insulation. itis a metallic silver insualation they have at home depot. also get some heat resistant tape for it as well. it looks like foil as well

I used the same thermo tape that is sold at hardware stores and it is clean.

That foil stull that looks like bubble wrap is pretty good at keeping radiating heat down. Wrap it up with a few layers and use the foil duct tape.
You're probably not going to see any difference with doing it, but congrats on the ambition.
