I'm looking at AutoZone.com at starters for a 351W. Being the thrifty person I am, what's the difference in the late 80's starters vs. the 92-96 starters, other than the pre-91 models are $90 cheaper?

The flywheels are the same part number across the years. Is it the wiring or something?

Big Block Ford w/ 180 tooth flywheel MT

So only difference would be the transmission for a small block. Then you have a big block M/t & a big block auto.
