I houled a 72 c-10 long bed, on a dual axle dove tailed trailer.
The c-10 had a full load of fresh cut wood in the bed. :toothless

Hauled it on I-20 for about 20 miles at 60. Then another 20 miles on rural roads.

That was stock 302/AOD with 32" tires.

I have hauled several F-150's and a few Mustangs on the same trailer.
Wow, this thread started in 2007.

Same trailer, same Chevy C-10 (No load of wood in the bed)
Bronco on 38's, TTB/8.8 and 357W/AOD

It did fine on a 20 mile trip running 55-60 on a rural 2 lane highway.

My Wife's mother, sister and her sisters 2 girls. A very big load. The right side was 3 inches lower than the right. If her sister had not been sitting behind me, the right side would have been down more like 6 inches.

I guess I should add this here too. I'm not sure if it was the load, or the 4,000 foot pass, but this was the toughest load to pull so far. About 180 miles one way. The empty trip back was an easy tow.

Trailer full of fencing.

Looking the other way.

It seems like everything I've hauled has been a Chevy
I once hauled a stock car on a trailer with tools and tires. Must have been 5k. That was a Chevy too.

Well no pictures but we have a 3/4 ton dodge trailer, filled it up with two cords + of fire wood 4 ft stake pocket rails. 4.5 miles of logging cat ... road had to winch it 5 times, then 3 miles back country 2 lane pavement home. That was the firs time I had to do ujoints on it ;) also why I had to winch it so much.
