Like the title says, which headers will line up and work well? I dont need them to be all shiney and what not, looking for a cost effective and good product. I need to make sure everything will line up right!!!

Thanks~~Ben

may i adjust your question a bit. ive just picked up a 94 with a 351w. it has Heddman? headers on that go straight into dual flowmasters already(kinda a junked together exhaust if you ask me). ive been reading a lot about this bassani y pipe and think i might try it out. getting rid of the duals and just running a single muffler. will the bassani do alright with the heddmans?

alboy, The headman headers are long tubes( i dont think they make shorties IIRC)... The bassani y pipe will bolt up to shortie headers... I bought summit racing( aka pacesetters) shorties for $140, and the bassani y bolted right up... That going into a flowmaster delta 40, and 3" all the way back... If going that route, take the advice i was given and buy a good set of manifold gaskets, the ones that came with the headers were falling apart just when i took them out of the box to throw them out...

jba headers will match up and not require those bassani reducers.

gasket problem

I went all bassani on my 93 about a year and half ago and the gaskets are breaking down. I had the drivers side replaced at a muffler shop (they put in a really thick one) but they had my bronco in there for a few days which really screwed me over. While in there, they tweaked the passenger side which started breaking down it's gasket (coincidence I'm not sure) anyway, I wanted to replace it with a thicker gasket and would like to avoid having the bronco locked up in a shop for several more days. Does anyone have a picture of the gaskets that came with the headers so I can just use that to go look for thicker replacements. I really don't want to go through the pain of pulling the passenger side to get the gasket out if I can avoid it.

Or better yet, if anyone knows part numbers of a good thick gasket that matches, I'd be appreciative. Oh, and before the leaks sounded. Those bassanis sound sweet. I had a gibson setup on my old 89 and I didn't like the sounds as much.

Thanks,
Jared

I just put bassani headers on a few months ago and they came with shitty gaskets. The instructions in the box said they should have come with Fel-pro gaskets, but when I called Bassani they said they switched to a different brand. I went to autozone and picked up some Percy's aluminum gaskets with square ports and they work great.

On my '90 5.8 I went with JBA shorties and the bassani Y pipe, Everything bolted up perfectly and I didn't hafta use the collars that they say you "Must use"
